FIREWORKS CANCELED FOR 2024. Festival is happening but there will be no fireworks this year. Website says "Due to new restrictions on fireworks displays, there will not be fireworks at the Freeland Walleye Festival this year." I don't know what that means.

Festival goes on but FIREWORKS CANCELED FOR 2024

This year’s (the 38th!) festival runs from April 25 – 28, 2024. The festival is still happening, but the fireworks aren’t. I’m not sure I understand why. I hope it can come back soon – it was like my “opening day” for being the first major display every year in Michigan.
